Clowning Full Day Workshop Fall Into Place Threatre

This full day workshop is aimed at people who are interested in upskilling in physical clowning skills.

Clowning is a great way to discover a lightness and ease that we can bring to any rehearsal room or project, and a joyful approach to performance that celebrates play, connection and joy.
Through games, exercises and improvisations, you’ll explore the fundamentals of Clown.
Solo and ensemble work will sharpen rhythm, physicality, and connection with each other and the audience.
No previous experience is necessary – just a curiosity and a willingness to play!
This workshop is led by James Lewis-Knight, Artistic Director of Clown Space (est. 2017), a York-based theatre company specialising in Clown, Full Mask, and Physical Theatre.  Any profit made from the session will be used by the charity Fall into Place Theatre to fund its other projects with vulnerable groups.
James trained with renowned Clown masters Philippe Gaulier and Carlo Jacucci, as well as teachers John Wright, Felipe Ortiz, and Steve Jarand.”
