Royal Armouries Museum

The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, is a national museum which displays the National Collection of Arms and Armour.

Royal Armouries has three museums across the United Kingdom and cares for one of the most important national collections of arms and armour in the world.

Our collection is displayed and housed in our historical home at the White Tower in the Tower of London, at the purpose-built Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, and at Fort Nelson near Fareham, Hampshire.

Visitors can explore extensive galleries showcasing weapons, armour, and military equipment from different periods and cultures, including medieval armour, ancient weaponry, and modern military artefacts. The exhibits provide insight into warfare history, craftsmanship, and the evolution of combat techniques across centuries.

One of the highlights of the museum is its live demonstration programme, where visitors can experience dynamic presentations that bring historical combat and martial traditions to life. These sessions make the museum especially engaging for families, school groups, and visitors of all ages.
